Autocam Medical Announces Rewarding Opportunity for CNC Programmer

PLYMOUTH, MA—(JANUARY 14, 2021)—Autocam Medical, a global contract manufacturer of precision, surgical and medical components and devices, announced today that they are looking to hire a CNC Programmer to work the first shift in their Plymouth location.

Candidates must be tech-savvy. In addition to basic computer skills, applicants are required to have three or more years of experience setting up, operating, and programming CNC Swiss Machines and be familiar with CAM software such as Partmaker or Esprit. Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints including those that use Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols is also necessary.

Because of the integral role the CNC Programmer plays in determining how components are machined, they will also be expected to support new product quoting and Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) activities. In addition to providing cycle time estimates and tooling and material requirements, they will also work with machinists to meet quality, cost, and productivity goals. They will also be required to provide daily programming support to the Swiss Value Stream.
