Aerospace Project Manager

SUMMARY

Autocam Medical is seeking to hire an Aerospace Project Manager in our Murfreesboro, TN facility. We are ITAR compliant and qualified applicants must be a US citizen. This job is a full-time direct position with benefits.

DESCRIPTION

• Manage projects for aerospace manufacturing by coordinating internal and external activities of manufacturing projects to ensure fabrication, engineering, supply chain, quality and production milestones are achieved while following a Quality Management System according to ISO2001/AS9100 standards
• Provide overall project management including technical, schedule, cost, quality, and resource management while maintaining delivery of quality, on-time products
• Requires comprehensive understanding of overall aerospace manufacturing processes and procedures, with an understanding of Aerospace drawings, specifications, and manufacturing processes
• Experience in other functions such as, manufacturing, supply chain management, and procurement
• Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Basis of Estimates (BOE) during project inception
• Coordinate and manage supply chain requirements to ensure long-term strategic growth and sustainability
• Reviewing drawings, models, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities
• Manage the development of new or revised proposals for potential or existing projects
• Monitor project progress to ensure that product will be delivered on time, on budget and with technical excellence
• Enforce compliance in the terms of the contract, the project quality plan, project directives, statutory/regulatory requirements, and applicable Aerospace procedures
• You must be able to work independently and efficiently multitask to support cross-functional teams while working closely with subject matter experts to validate the practicality and effectiveness of conceptual designs
• Responsible for the implementation and distribution of design engineering drawings and subsequent design changes to QA and manufacturing organizations
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 years Aerospace & Defense manufacturing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or a STEM related discipline
• PMP or Equivalent preferred. Willing to consider 5+ years PM experience in leu of PMP
• 5-7 years Hands-on experience as Project Manager successfully managing aerospace and/or engineering projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.
