This position is accountable for ensuring continuity and security of ERP-related services throughout the organization through planning, technical leadership, project coordination and hands on execution with a positive, helpful, and engaged customer service style of interaction. The Product Database Specialist will work within the Engineering department as part of a cross functional team to set up and maintain ERP system part data, set up and maintain rules-based configurator and facilitate ECO processes, as well as support other teams within the organization. This position is highly data focused, requires good organizational and communication skills, logical thinking and basic knowledge of engineering drawings and manipulating large data sets. Working with computer logic and formulas are an important aspect of daily activities. Handle clerical duties supporting the engineering team. Also helps other departments with clerical duties as time allows, this includes QC, purchasing, and others.


  • Set up and maintain part data within ERP system
  • Set up and maintain rules-based configurator for items with variable characteristics
  • Work with multiple other departments to constrain configurator data and output on production work orders
  • Manipulate data sets with narrow margin for error
  • Read technical drawings accurately and use that information to complete tasks
  • Understand production work order process flow, bills of material, routings and outputs
  • Download Drawings, Scans and Prints for all product areas
  • Completes required clerical reports for engineering
  • Handles small changes in ballooning software or CAD to update
  • Supporting engineering group by completing technical and clerical work such as entering parts data and changes in ERP system.
  • Preparing DMR revisions and compiling DHR paperwork
  • Maintaining customer files and networked engineering data.
  • Developing documentation for launch of new products.
  • Works with engineering team on open sales order priorities.
  • Maintains Sales Order Information as specific to Engineering.
  • Coordinates Sales Orders and Sales Order Changes to the Engineering Group.
  • Copies drawing packages and maintains a record of issued packages.
  • Initiates ECRs with oversight from engineering.
  • Provides the shop with drawings as requested.
  • Generates reports as requested.


  • Scheduled 50 hours per week, with 1.5x pay over 40 hours a week. Double time over 56 hours a week. Volunteer for OT.

  • Familiarity with operation of CNC equipment.
  • Knowledge of CAD software and other design-aid technologies.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Skills: Highly effective time organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and adjust to the needs and requests for assistance for all departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including advanced data functions in Excel.
  • Effective data entry skills that provide for accurate and timely information.
  • Excellent analytical skills: Ability to collect and analyze data and present findings.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently use office equipment.
  • Must be able to perform at a high level without immediate supervision.
