GRAND RAPIDS, MI — (March 31, 2025) — Autocam Medical, a global contract manufacturer of precision surgical and medical components and devices, announces the appointment and reappointment of four individuals to its board of directors.
Joining the board effective November 2024:
Dan Bowen
Dan Bowen is the founder and CEO of Dempsey Ventures, a family office holding company based in Grand Rapids that invests in manufacturing and distribution businesses with a focus on medical devices. Bowen founded two major medical products companies, Aspen Surgical and SunMed (now named AirLife). Aside from Autocam Medical, Bowen also serves on the boards of SunMed (AirLife), AA Medical, Lacks Industries, and the NHL’s Minnesota Wild.
John Meilner
John Meilner is the founder and managing director of Bridge Street Capital Partners, an investment management firm based in Grand Rapids. He is also an advisor and former president of 42 North Partners, LLC, a single multi-generational family office. In addition to Autocam Medical, Meilner serves on the boards of JSJ Corporation, 42 North Partners, and Charter Capital Partners. He also serves on the executive committee and capital campaign leadership of Grand Action 2.0.
Re-appointed to the board effective November 2024:
Michael Mainelli
Michael Mainelli has served on the Autocam Medical Board since 2007. He has more than thirty years of senior executive experience leading global medical technology businesses and over ten years of board director experience at venture capital, private equity, and public companies, serving on audit, compensation, and finance committees. His experience includes executive roles at GE Healthcare and Stryker Corporation and CEO roles at public, private equity, and venture capital-funded firms.
David Tomick
David is retired but serves on various boards, including Autocam Medical, Caesars Entertainment, Inc., Gryppers, Inc., First Choice Packaging, and Casalu, Inc. He has also served as the vice president of finance of Falcon Cable TV, CFO of Masada Security, and executive vice president and CFO of SpectraSite, Inc.
