Autocam Medical, a global contract manufacturer of precision surgical and medical components and devices, announced that it would be recruiting for a number of positions at the Montcalm Community College Job Fair on March 22, 2022.

The company is looking to hire CNC Machinists, Manufacturing Engineers and Secondary Operators that aspire to become Machinists.

While the event is being hosted at Montcalm Community College, it isn’t limited to their students. Anyone can attend the job fair, which will be in the Sidney Campus Gymnasium from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“This is an outstanding opportunity for anyone that wants to make a career change and those that are just entering the workforce,” said Kristy White, HR Director for Autocam Medical. “High school seniors can walk across the stage to collect their diploma and immediately progress down a career path where they could make over $100,000 as a CNC Machinist after five years. MIBIZ: Autocam Medical EVP Tom O’Mara to Retire After 32 Years

Autocam Medical Devices LLC Executive Vice President Tom O’Mara will retire at the end of 2022 after 32 years with the global contract manufacturer.

As the first sales and marketing manager at Autocam Corp., O’Mara quickly became part of the executive team. He led Autocam’s sales growth from $15 million in 1989 to nearly $400 million in 2005. O’Mara then transitioned to business development leadership with the corporation’s Autocam Medical division, where he led manufacturing sales growth from $15 million in 2007 to an expected $170 million in 2022.

O’Mara will take on an advisory role with the company following his retirement at the end of the year.

Autocam Medical also named Sara McMurray as vice president of sales and marketing. McMurray brings 23 years of experience in building sales organizations and expansions into new markets.
“We are elated to have Sara join the team. I have known her for years and am confident that she will be a valuable asset to Autocam Medical,” O’Mara said in a statement.

Kentwood-based Autocam Medical, which is a contract manufacturer of medical devices and components, said last week after a 32-year career with the company, Tom O’Mara, executive vice president, will retire at the end of the year.

The company hired Sara McMurray as vice president of sales and marketing to succeed O’Mara. Autocam Medical said O’Mara will remain in an advisory role with the company after he retires to ensure a successful transition.
