THE FABRICATOR: O’Mara to Retire at Year’s End; VP of Sales and Marketing Named
Autocam Medical, Grand Rapids, Mich., a global contract manufacturer of precision-machined drill bits, drivers, screws, plates, and cutting tools, as well as surgical implants, instruments, and handpieces, has announced that Executive Vice President Tom O’Mara will retire at the end of 2022 after a 32-year career with the company. He will remain in an advisory role with the company beyond Dec. 31, 2022.
O’Mara served as Autocam’s first sales and marketing manager and quickly became part of the executive team. In 2007 he assumed leadership of business development for the Autocam Medical division.
Sara McMurray has been named vice president of sales and marketing for the division. She has 23 years of sales and management experience in manufacturing, including building sales organizations, leading expansions into new markets, and guiding the assessments of strategic merger and acquisition opportunities.
