WOLVERINE STATE WATCH: Autocam Medical Expanding Manufacturing Footprint in West Michigan
Autocam Medical Devices LLC plans to invest $ 60 million over the next three years to expand manufacturing capacity in West Michigan.
The surgical and medical components and equipment maker plans to build a new 100,000 square foot global headquarters and manufacturing facility on Broadmoor Avenue and 36th Street in Kentwood. Autocam Medical is working with AMDG Architects Inc. of Grand Rapids to design the facility. Pioneer Construction Co., also from Grand Rapids, will take care of the expansion.
The company expects the expansion to create 250 additional jobs. Autocam Medical has already started hiring and expects to significantly increase its recruiting efforts over the next year.
